INTRODUCTION

Monthly Achievement Tests is a
series of tests conceptualised and designed by Educational Psychologist to
diagnose the children's understanding of the Primary School Mathematics and
Science. The people who produced them are all QUALIFIED Singapore
Mathematics and Science Teachers. This series is also currently being
adopted by many Primary Schools in Singapore.

Monthly Achievement Tests
is designed specifically to help diagnose where the child's weakness and strength
is in his
Mathematics and Science. Before a teacher or parent can effectively help the child
to improve his grades, be it from 85 marks to 100 marks or from 55 marks to 95
marks, the teacher/parent must identify the areas the child is weak at.
Monthly Achievement Tests
is able to dissect the child understanding into either
'just knowing the basic', 'able to comprehend the concept', 'knowing how to
apply the concept' or 'able to apply different heuristics to solve problems'.
All of these are done right down to the individually topics. What differentiate
a child from scoring almost full marks every

Guide to Answering (in the SMAT) sections not only shows the
